Data we collect
- Server logs: IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp. Used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic analysis. Logs are retained for {{LOG_RETENTION_DAYS}} days.
- Affiliate click events: when you click an affiliate link on our site, we record the destination, the page you clicked from, and the referring URL. We do not associate this with your identity.

- Newsletter subscriptions: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address with our email service provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to serve display ads. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. Visitors may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.
EEA / UK / Switzerland
For visitors in these regions, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform integrated with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) v2. Personalized ads are served only after consent.

Children
BargainHive is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Security
We use HTTPS site-wide. Server access is restricted, dependencies are kept current, and admin areas are protected with strong authentication.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date will reflect material changes.
